Ace                        adj.    Good  e.g. I saw Black Wire last night and they were ace!

Arsed                    verb   Bothered, e.g. I was gonna get up but I couldn't be arsed

Bangin' on          verb.  Continually talking   e.g she were banging on about The Cribs again

Done up               adj.    Dressed up e.g. they were all done up dead posh and I looked like a right tramp

Cocky                   adj.    Arrogant, self-assured e.g I don't wanna be cocky but my trainers are the dog's bollocks

Fluke                    noun  A stroke of luck, unplanned  e.g I saw Gary in Tesco Metro but it were just a fluke

Full on                  adj.     Real, intense e.g they had a full on fight in the car park

Gaffer                   verb    Apply thick tape to  e.g my shoes are well fucked, I'm gonna have to gaffer them up

Leeds                   see 'shit hole'

Like                       ej.       Just stick this, like, anwhere in a sentence to show you're just, like, not arsed.

Owt                        adv.   Anything  e.g. I don't think there's owt wrong with wearing the same tshirt to every gig

Pissed                  adj.     Drunk e.g. Ryan were so pissed he had his guitar on wrong way round

Proper                  adj.     Truly, really  e.g. It were proper good at that gig last night

Right                     adj.     Very, particularly        e.g. it had a right nice sound

Round                  noun  One set of drinks for all  e.g We went in Wetherspoons for a round, fuck knows why

Shit hole              noun  Generally unpleasant venue or place    e.g. that last gig were at a right shit hole

Shitting myself   verb    Worrying or feeling scared   e.g. when that bang went off I were shitting myself

Twat                      noun   Idiot, unsavoury fellow   e.g. Conor McNicholas is a twat

Twatted                  adj.    Drunk  e.g. I fell down stairs when I were twatted last night

Twatted                  verb.  To beat up  e.g. I twatted that lad with a  bottle

Well                        adv.    Extremely, very   e.g. I were well twatted last night

Were                      verb.    Used in place of 'was' after a singular noun, e.g I were drunk last night
